vinyl

do you remember THIS little project?

I basically traced my glue gun on some plain ole white vinyl and cut it out and stuck it on my car.

and I love it.

ur..loved it.

it held up really stinking well...and would still have been on my car if it wasn't for a certain man (who shall remain nameless (karl) who got a little overzealous while scraping my car windows and sliced the "cord" in two separate spots.

curse you karl.

(don't worry...happy ending coming)

I was online shopping at a little vinyl store called
(I may have mentioned it in the past.)

and I noticed that they had "outdoor" vinyl (oracal 651 if you want to get technical)

and so i order meself (not a spelling mistake...you have to say it like that)
a 12x24 sheet of white (for less than two bones)

and I peeled off my old one and stuck up my new one....

it's beautiful..and professional looking...okay...not professional...but good looking.
{had to put some words to cover meself up. i was in no position to be photographed.}

and didn't require any fancy machines to cut it out....
so don't let vinyl scare you. you can do anything with it!
(remember my laptop sticker?)

and the outdoor vinyl NOW comes in LOADS of colors!

(I just found out about all the colors they have because I'm signed up to receive their special emails. I even got a discount code..so make sure you do...I get emails all the time (not like annoying all the time) but they always have a discount.
and meself loves the discounts.

just some fyi on the outdoor vinyl:
see the sheen on it....?

•Finish - Gloss
•Adhesive - Solvent based permanent
•Indoor durability - 10years +
•Outdoor Durability - 6 years +
•Thickness - 2.5 mils
•Waterproof - Yes

and uses:
•Interior and exterior signs
•Car Decals
•Dishes (handwash recommended, may be top rack safe)
•Stencils
•Decorating

P.S. it says if you use it on your walls (like for decorating) it has a higher potential to damage the walls when trying to remove it.

BUT..it also says you can use it on boats. oh. my. meself needs a boat.

yes. no. yes. no. I SHOULD BUY A BOAT.

any guesses what movie that came from?

serious. 1000 glue gun points if you can name it.

okay. go . shop. let's all great vinyl crazy.
