(Dear SIsters, suck it. I will delete your comments telling me otherwise.)
anyways. I was taking a picture of my little sister's cute earmuffs
and I thought that I had better take a picture of that cute wall behind me..
I painted the "Count your blessings, name them one by one..."
boy, that's a lot of blessings.
maybe she could have left my three kids off...they must be what I call blessings in disguise...cause I don't see no freaking blessins.
She had this board in her kitchen FOREVER! I broke a paintbrush in one of those holes that's still there.
the names are wood cut outs she bought from a company somewhere at sometime (nice way to say I have no clue where she got them...but they are ADORABLE!)
she added cute little pictures of all her grandbabies...
and then I kept taking pictures..cause she just redid her kitchen
so cute!
oh! those are just the most awesomest curtains ever...
(did I mention I made the curtains)
This is probably the oldest kitchen aid EVER. It used to like a yellowish color (the only color it came in)
so she shot it with some spray paint..and it looks sooo GREAT!
love these canisters!!!!
so cute. love my mom...SHE'S MY FAVORITE MOM.
Your mom's kitchen is adorable...all my favorite colors!
ReplyDeleteTo set the record straight--mom has 4 daughters and they are all her favorite!!!!! (especially the oldest who helped raise the younger brats..um..girls);) Yes, we have the bestest mother ever!!! (bestest is another Idaho word...promise!!)

I am loving the black, red and white! I am the favorite too :)
ReplyDeleteSo, does the paint scratch off the kitchen aid? I've thought about doing that to mine because it has some scuffs on it from moving.
ReplyDeleteHilarious post. (I do love that board - very cute!!)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you are her favorite, making such cute curtains, how could you not be?
ReplyDeleteI have a kitchen aid that looks just like that one. I was my gmas 40+ years ago. I didn't know you could spray paint em. This I will have to try! Love the blessing wall!
ReplyDeleteKim--You DO have an amazing mom! I love her new kitchen as well.
ReplyDeleteI like her picture board, but I seem to have noticed that none of her daughters (favorite or not) made the "blessings" list. Hmmm. . . .Makes me realize who the favorites are! :-)
Your mom's kitchen looks fabulous and stylish! I love the blessings wall...how creative! I must say that she must have given you all your creativity!
ReplyDeleteJust in case you love those letters so much and want to get some for yourself, I had found the exact ones at Hobby Lobby (before Christmas). =)
ReplyDeleteI love what she did with the kitchen aid. What a transformation!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable kitchen!!
ReplyDeletecould your mom have a cooler kitchen & blessings board? seriously!
ReplyDeleteI was just complaining about my ugly old kitchenaid this afternoon! It's that off yellow, yucky, always looks dirty color. I NEVER thought to paint it, but I'm soooo doing it this weekend!! Did she use special spray paint or just the regular stuff?
ReplyDeleteFavorite daughter. Me too! My Mom tells me that all the time. Never mind that I'm her only daughter. Love your Mom's kitchen
ReplyDeleteOK I want to know how she spray painted her kitchen aid! Gorges kitchen!
ReplyDeleteWow! I have a mixer exactly like that...seriously! Spray painting would spice it up and I wouldn't be embarrassed of it when I pulled it out to use. How was it done??

I must be your mom's age because I also hate the "suck" word BUT I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your website and it is yours and you can do what you want!!! Others don't need to read it!! Just to add to the etching -- you can also do it without the vinyl and mask off the area and put old fashioned scrapbook letters and then etch!!! Works like a charm.... Thanks for the ideas and for sharing your creativity.... from Pocatello also!! Maybe I'll teach your kids someday!!!
ReplyDeleteI just got an idea for my little kitchen I think I'm gonna paint mine in black white and red.
