happy NEW year....

Hope you all partied hard...and then slept even harder! I am so excited for a new year...I've got a list of resolutions as long as my arm (cause I did so well last year!)

but alas....that's what a NEW year is for..fresh start!

Just wanted to share a dumb little tradition I do...
I buy one of these:
and put it in my cedar chest.

and save it.

for YEARS.

I just think it would be fun for my kids, (in say like 20 years) to go through them and see what's going on when they were kids...)

cause when I was a kid....

(she's still around)

still around too...

lets shoot for ANOTHER back to the future...would it be number 4 or 5?

HAD ONE!

think if you had one from your 1980...it would be so fun to go back and see who was "the sexiest man alive"

oh..yess please...If I do all my new years resolutions can I have him as a prize?

and isn't it interesting that like 7 out of the top 10 movies of the year were kids movies...?

and it's not just about famous people...it's got trends....(love me these)

just something fun I do...

do you have something fun you do?

or any new years resolutions you want to share?

I'll share some of mine:

less glue gun burns

less yelling

less chocolate
(this one hurt to WRITE)

more exercise
(only if I get Ryan Reynolds as a prize...I want to make sure I look GOOD for him!)

more candyland

less computer

learn how to do a video online

beat the x-box with a bat

FOLLOW THROUGH with my crap..if you could only see my piles of crafts that are almost finished, kinda finished, just started, had for 2 years .....

  1. Sounds good to me! My schtick is to say "haven't seen you since last year!". I may have to change that so I can live or at least speak for the rest of the year--apparently that is annoying!

My resolutions? I stopped doing them because I was honest with myself and said I wouldn't do them anyways but I've been coming up with some over the past week, so to break with a recent tradition, in no particular order:

    a) network to gain contacts in the human services field...maybe even get a job

    b) get a job I enjoy (see above)

    c) actually read & study my scriptures, not just think it (I've proven to my self that there is no spiritual gain from just thinking)

    d) learn to REALLY use my brand new Silhouette SD and develop child/youth related items that enhance their life experience

    e) promote free play and research toys that REALLY encourage it

    f) spoil the grandkiddos

    g) support my adult kiddos in their life choices (& hopefully they'll move out and I'll gain a craft office (those terms do go together don't they?)

    h) get my Wii age at least into its mid-30's (my "Ryan Reynolds" is squishy now-a RR bod is only a pipe dream for him so I have to do it for myself now. sigh)

Happy New Year! and may the rest of the year go as smoothly as it has so far!

  2. I think our resolutions could be about exactly the same. However, we have a PS3, not an x-box.
    Happy New Year!

  8. I have to admit I kept some Tiger Beat and Teen Beat from my preteen years to show my daughter later in life.

    But...
    I had two sons.

So why haven't I thrown out the TBs?
