To help remember the Christ in Christmas

sometimes we get a little wrapped up in all the presents and toys and shopping that is christmas...and sometimes we  get a little off track (last christmas eve I was talking to my kids about Jesus and they kept trying to change the subject to santa claus...it ended with me yelling. VERY spiritual!)

anyways..this little book would make a great present to keep the little ones focused on the REAL reason for christmas.
My mom gave all her grandbabies one of these for christmas a few years ago...and we loved it.
some other pages

and now oopsey daisy is letting you download them for free...so cute! you just print them off and put them in a binder.

Or you can download this free version from simpsonized crafts

equally as cute!

my daughter looking at it.... The pages in my mom's book are all clipart images

and my mom also included a sweet note to all her grandbabies in the last page of the binder! So special!

just a little reminder to remember the reason for the season

  1. These are so great! I think our kids need a reminder about what Christmas and life is all about. Thanks for sharing. I actually downloaded the one from Oopsey Daisy and am planning on giving it to my daughter for Christmas.
I think next year I might do some of the other ones. They seemed geared toward older kids. :)

  5. Great idea! I will have to grab it for my kiddo's! We have been reading a Silent Night book the last couple days and I explain on every page where baby Jesus was born and why we celebrate Christmas... I am trying to drill it into their little heads!

  8. Great idea. That book.

Christmas is the reason for sure.

My Grandchildren are all teens but they all have learned about Jesus as children at home and in Church.

Also we always prayed before we opened up the presents with our children when small.Telling them

baby Jesus story why it is so imporant first and then open up the presents second. We also took time to pray. They loved to pray also each year.In there cute little voices. Like. Thank you baby Jesus for coming. We love you too.

They learn fast about Santa very fast from school friends so not to worry to explain about Santa. Give them Jesus first into their little hearts. Then when they do find out Santa is not real. It was not a big disappointment to my children. They were 7 when someone told them. Like older children.
