book labels.

this was a guest post...
and one of my most favortiest posts.
and since we are on a vinyl/cameo kick...let's repost it.

i love books.

and i hate when i lend out my books and don't get them back.

so I thought I would make some reminders to those people so they always remember that THESE BOOKS ARE MINE SO RETURN THEM!!!!

i hopped on my cameo and had so much fun designing that i kinda went hog wild......

I used the patterns alot....and clipart and the line tool to have a place to sign...
(i haven't purchased any yet...so these are all the free ones!
I also started with a square or rectangle (they have a few tags in the library as well...) Then i decorated it and finally added words (I would drag my mouse over it after each step to group them together)
i also used the knife tool alot to take off any extra outside my squares!!!!!

I had one window open for working on...then when i got it all done i would cut it and paste it onto another file...

The thing that makes these really special is the Printable vinyl....you just need to make sure you click the show registration marks....then you just cram as many on your page as you can...

then you send to your printer...

then you click on each one and make sure that just the cut edge is clicked so the cameo will just go around each one instead of all the details inside (important!)

(make sure that each tag is grouped together or this won't work!)
then you load it on your mat and put it in your cameo
the cameo needs to detect those registration marks in the corners so it knows exactly where to cut..
then you just peel like a sticker!

and slap it on your books....

you can also cut them out...
 peel away the negative space

and gather them together in a little package! perfect gift for those hard to shop for people!

you can also stick them on notebooks or anything that needs a label
they are super fun and I could probably make 100 more!

i saved some pictures of the ones i made..in case you don't have a cameo..you can still get some printable vinyl and print these out..you would just have to cut them out by hand!

  2. Love these labels, do you know if they can be used on clothing or something that needs to be washed. I would love to make my own children's labels for school.

    1. No... The texture is more like paper than vinyl!!! That's. Cool thought though! You should suggest that to the silhouette company for a new product!

  3. Hey I recognize that green spiral notepad and book label because I use it every Sunday for church notes! It is the perfect size for me and too cute to boot!

Plus, I'm just a book accessory nerd. :)
