I spy....

with my little eye...

something awesome.

it's me.

but that's not all....

it's mandy too.

mandy from sugar bee posted about making an i spy quilt...

LOVE THIS
and I immmmmmediately got on to emailing my sisters to see if they wanted to do an i spy swap..

they were in.

and then I got my neighbor (who blogs here:

to get in it on it...

but guess what.  we need SIX more people.

Let me tell you the details:

you buy 10 different kinds of fabrics.

we are looking for BRIGHT colorful ,fun, fabric...for example:

these are for sale HERE at thread this

 or for even MORE examples:

not just patterns....some kind of print to look for....

you cut each fabric up into 10  6 by 6 in squares.  so when you are all done..you will have 100 squares
(makes sense?)

then you will stick them all in an envelope with $6  and mail it to me. (by JUNE 1st)  (or if you live near me, you could hand deliver it to me and I will even give you an autograph..on your bra straps...like a rock star.)

Then I (with my sister's help cause I ain't no fool) will spread them all out and divy them up.

and I will take your 6 bucks  and ship 100 different squares back to you.

sounds easy enough

(but then you have to sew it all together...not the easy part...but still fun)

(for a crazy amount of ideas on what you could do with them...go HERE)

Does this sound like something you would want to do? huh? does it?

We only need people so if you are interested email me at kimbowest21(@)gmail.com

***WE ARE FULL!*** to the max. I even opened it up to ten more people!

and it's been so fun I will probably do it again in a few months!!!!!

  1. if my quilting skills were better I would be on this in a hot second, however knowing me those 100 squares of awesome fabric would sit in my craft room for about five years before a night of insomnia led me to piece it all together, LOL. Awesome idea!

  8. I am probably too late, but if I'm not I am totally in! That sounds so fun. (And, I don't live close, but I could send a bra strap for you to sign, because that would be cool!)

  9. Hi Kimbo,

I'm starting an I-Spy swap based in Europe, open to anyone anywhere. If you know anyone who'd be interested, I'd love it if you could let them know.
