Photo boards

So on SYTYC I didn't want to give myself away. I literally carried a shower curtain (with rod) all around my house to find a perfect picture (outside too..my neighbors probably thought I was CRAZY!!!!)

so for my edible cake I made a board to put it on to help photograph it.
see the board.
I just painted it (pool blue...my favorite color!...same as this:

and mod podged a doily (paper one) onto the middle

And remember this necklace:

another board.

This one got mod podged with a bunch of papers left over from this project:

I love being able to reuse stuff!

after it was all dried

I took some brown paint and watered it down and just distressed the edges

kept a paper towel handy in case I got tooo paint happy

there you have it...two great boards... fast, cheap and easy (that's what she said)

like this necklace....come back tomorrow for the tutorial! No jewelry making skills or equipment necessary!

  1. I use a white shower curtain draped by my brightest window but your doily board is waaaaaay nicer!
