i saw it.
loved it.
and knew that it would go on my wall.
i've googled trying to figure out who to give proper credit too...but one seems to be a vinyl shop that is closed...and the second one i have never found!
here's my knock off:
i got five sheets of white expressions vinyl (12x12)
I used the awesome grid on the back of the vinyl to make sure that they were all the same size...like all the widths of the sides of the o and the sides of the h are both 8 1/2 little squares....and the lines made sure that i was cutting it nice and straight (cause when it's this big..it's noticeable if a letter is smaller than the rest!
i cut them all out (BY HAND) no need for a fancy cutting machine. it took probably 20 mins to trace it out and cut it out!
then i just peeled and stuck them right in my entryway (which is small)
I worked from the bottom up since i had a stair rail in my way.
i love it. when/if i move...i will do it again. i get lots of compliments on it.
maybe next time i'll just write
YO.
Super cute. LOVE the huge letters. Also, loving vinyl. Now my husband can't throw out the "we live in an apartment" card when I want to "paint" the walls with fun!! Thanks for the idea, even if you can't find the original source!

Ok Your door is driving me crazy. I can't tell what it says! Tell me, tell me, tell me! please and thank you
The door color is.to. die. for.
Love the wreath on the door and the family tree upstairs.
Um now about what the door says. Seriously I have been looking at past posts trying to find it and well I am going a little crazy! : )
The door says welcome! But no soliciting!
ReplyDeleteThank you for satisfying my crazy curiosity! Love that! I see a lot of creative signs for no soliciting but some are just plain rude. Yours is both welcoming and straightforward. Love that.
ReplyDeleteOne day I will find just the right words......
Thanks again and I will go check out the family tree it is really pretty!
