fix your high waters pajama pants....

so. i wear pjs....about 75 % of the time.

(and i'm naked the other 25%.)
just kidding. i can't even sleep in the nude. i have to wear pjs.

anyways--i hate when you buy a cute pair of pjs...and then you wash them..and they shrink.
to that weird akward length that's too long to consider them capris....
and sure it's easy to chop them off and hem them up.
but sometimes they have the cute piping around the bottom cuff.
and really who has time to hem?

the before: (i was doing my makeup when the idea came to me...)

it's an easy peasy fix...that makes them doubly cute...
i bought some hot pink ribbon (there was already a hot pink on the waistband so i just matched it)

4 strips--mine are about 12 inches long (each)
then you turn up the ends and sew them to prevent fraying (you could burn them in a candle if you wanted)
then on the outer edge of the side of your pjs....where you sides meet...you take one ribbon and sew it to the outside....
then you put one on the inside...directly ON TOP of the ribbon on the outside...

then your done!
see...not to bad...
you just slip them on and tie them up in a bow
foot modeling is not my forte....

  1. This is a cute fix to that problem!!!

I'd be happy if my pjs shrunk though. They are ALways too long and nearly pooling on the floor - the curse of being vertically challenged!

  2. UMM, genius. Pure genius! FYI: occasionally around the holidays Old Navy will have their super cute womens PJ pants in talls! Seriously. Greatest purchase I have ever made!

  5. I'm very tall and sometimes they are too short when I buy them, great idea

I also seem to be in pj's most of the time and sadly they're not even cute because I may just spend most of my time crafting or painting in them :)

  6. Wow, awesome idea! I don't even buy that fabric of pajama pants because it always does that. But they are by far the comfiest pj's, now I can buy them again.
