This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walmart for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Did you know that this holiday season Walmart will be giving away 1.5 million dollars in grants to benefit local non-profit organizations!?
and you can nominate a nonprofit of your choice!
I actually nominated the friends of pocatello animal shelter....cause ever since i've gotten my dog, and realized just how much i love her...it's been super important to me! (before my dog i hated animals...not like HATED...but i didn't even want a pet fish in my house!) and now those stinkin sarah mclachan commericals make me cry. those poor dogs! The Pocatello animal shelter needs a new shelter! and it would be awesome if they got a grant from walmart!
(the daughter and said dog--she's a pitbull named amore)
AND it's so easy to nominate. go to 12 Days of Giving and you just need this info:
a) Nonprofit name
b) Nonprofit contact info
c) Nonprofit website
d) Photo (optional)
make sure you get your nominations in by November 18--just a few days left!!!
(also on that site is some videos of last year winning noinations!)
Between November 1 and November 18, Americans can vote for local nonprofits on Facebook. On December 10, Walmart will start the “12 Days of Giving,” by announcing funding to the winning nonprofits that were nominated on Facebook.
Go on and vote for your local nonprofit!
What a great opportunity to help out those local non for profits!!!!!
**(and if you nominate an organization come back here and leave me a comment telling me what it is! just curious what you would choose!)**
Thank you so much for posting this. I have so many non profits that I would like to nominate. Many of them have helped my son get the speech and occupational therapy that he needs (and insurance denies). Again, thanks for posting. I personally nominated More Than Words Pediatric Rite Care Clinic. My husband nominated The Lindsay Foundation www.lindsayfoundation.org and I am going to ask some friends to nominate some more of those that have helped us.
