so let's talk about skirting the issue.....it's fantastic. basically they are trying to get as many skirts donated to foster cares as possible....and i'm over there guest posting showing off this
they have loads of cute skirts (go HERE to see the links for all these cute things)
on top of that they have had numerous guest posts this month showing cute easy skirts for inspiration....and sizing charts HERE (sooo hopeful...pinning this for sure!)
and if you make a skirt to donate you can upload your picture here (it's fun to see all the different ones uploaded!)
AND-- if you need to know where to send it to..they even provide an address HERE!
and i love me a good skirt...they are FAST and easy...and require no sleeves...and no zipper (if you don't want to...just some fabric and elastic!
so i'm going to show you a couple easy little skirts to get you motivated to donate!!!! donate!!!! donate!!!!
first up..you might remember my dress to skirt refashion:
these were some awesome 80 dresses...
but basically you just snip the top off...
i had this 2t dress from my daughter...and i love the fabric and ruffle...
loving this colored elastic from joanns...
you just measure the elastic and pin it around the top in 4 sections. then you basically just pull the elastic as you sew....
another easy skirt that is one of my favorites is made's circle skirts....
I made it for my daughter's minnie skirt...
and i've been hooked ever since.
fold it up and cut it up (make sure to go check out dana's real tut) then you just sew the hem and some elastic along the top
another super fun and easy skirt is one using ruffle fabric...just like delia
here's the three that i'm donating....
okay..and if you haven't clicked over to see my guest post do so NOW
So cute. I love that it has pockets I feel like everytime I make a skirt or dress AFTER I think oh I should have added pockets. I must remember next time.
