picture hanger

Underneath my daughters name was lacking...it needed a filler...and since she's always drawing..i thought a picture hanger would be great in the space

I had originally planned on using wood...but it sat in my garage for 2 months waiting for my husband to cut it...

so i turned to my trusty styrofoam!!!!! measured out some squares...

a knife makes quick work of the cutting..
then i took some white fabric and wrapped them up nice and tight...(a lot like wrapping a present
i got this great polka dot paper from canvas corp and used a wood flower to cut out some shapes..
and for the piece de resistance....these pretty knobs by rockler!

i poked a hole all the way through...
and added my knob (this is the back view)
this is the front (make sure you styrofoam isn't too thick!!!)

then i just poked holes through my paper pieces and screwed the knob on..

oooh lal allalalala...

they sparkle!

I used my awesome dischanger (dischangers have an adhesive back to them that you get wet and it will stick to plates....but since this is fabric i literally just hot glued it right on! works GREAT!

i had these clothes pins and twine from canvas corp..
fancied it up a bit...

and tied it around the knobs...

and hang!

the clothespins pull them a little so the squares were more like diamonds...so i added just  a dab of hot glue to the bottom corner and they stay straight!
i thought she would use it to hold her drawings...
but instead it holds something much more important...
JUSTIN BIEBER!!!!!

found this picture on my daughter's cork board...

i apparently made her mad one day...
