party favors and a game....

first..party favors--the princess bags were the main favor...but I had to have something super fun inside.....

If you are an oldie of agaagg...you may remember my fancy nancy pens...

well i made some...

one for each purse...(and a few extras for the older cousins who were helping out)

they are all hot glued (and oh my goodness did i burn myself so bad making these)

they are all wrapped with ribbon...or fabric...
 and even twine...
then made some tops (mostly from hair crap tutorials...)

and the rest of the party favors were rings...princess fruit snacks, little purses and little princess notebooks to use their pens with...

and here is how the girls won their purses...

(i didn't want them to pick them...i was worried there would be a mass hysteria for the tangled one and the poor ariel one wouldn't be picked....)

so i made a game of musical princesses to play.
i got a package and in it was this large bubble wrap.....i cut it into squares..
and printed pictures of all the princesses....and had my daughters color them...

and then i taped them onto the top of the bubble wrap...

when it was time to party i laid them all out on the ground and played princess music and when the music stopped the girls stopped....then i drew a card and let's say the card said jasmine...whoever was standing on the jasmine got the jasmine purse..took the jasmine picture out and sat on the couch!  (there was a couple "trades" afterwards...but all in all i think everyone was pretty happy!!!)
(and the popping of the bubble wrap was a HUGE HIT) next time i think i shall roll up some of that to stuff into party bags!

tomorrow is invitations!!! (and i even have included a boy one so you boy owners won't feel so left out!!!)

  1. You are just too cute! The pens are beautiful! I was almost mad about no one wanting Ariel, then I realized how old I was when that movie came out. Let's just say I was probably younger than some of the girls at the party... *sigh* Poor Ariel. LOL

  7. Oh my goodness, you've been busy with Birthday Week! These pens are so cute. Unfortunately my little princess is now too old for princess-y things and my other little princess is more of a Princess Leia kind of princess, you know, the kind that carries a gun or a lightsaber! I don't often leave comments but I've been following you blog for quite some time and I wanted to tell you how entertained and inspired I've been! I wish I could be such a dedicated blogger! Thanks for sharing your creativity!
