no step by step..cause well..i didn't make it....but i'll give you My "i think this is how she did it" instructions...
she took a board (and i actually think her son helped out quite a bit with this) but she measured out squares..painted them whatever color tickles your fancy...(and i think she outlined them with a sharpie) and mark a start and finish and then on each corner you hammer in a nail...
then you take rubber bands and just make a pathway-- tons of different little ways to do it..in my opionion i think it's more fun to make the maze than to actually run the marble through it (cause i suck at the marble part)
you can see the middle (the finish) actually gets a little smaller...just to make sure it's not tooo easy...
she actually made a hole for the finish for the marble to rest in (but if you don't have the tools it can be omitted)
then you put in your marble and move the board to keep the marble on track...pretty fun...as long as you don't suck at it like i do....
That does look fun and completely doable! Thanks for the gift idea!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea! Next time my nieces are in town, I will have to make this with them. I'm sure they would enjoy it. Thanks for the great idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea!! This would keep kids busy for hours...well at least 30 minutes!! Ha!

I think a larger board, with a ping pong ball that you have to blow through a straw to move might be a fun version of this game, too! Can you imagine two kids, coming from starting points on different sides of the board racing toward the center? What a riot!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I think that could keep even me entertained for hours!
