nothing new here. except it' super easy peasy.
i used some wide white elastic....white ribbon flowers from THIS post...and for the life of me i couldn't find belt hooks that i wanted that were the right size..so i snipped some off a belt i scored for $2 at ross.
i had originally bought this white flower ribbon (in walmart aisle) to embellish a neckline of my shirt. (downeast style!) but i couldn't get it how i wanted it and then a belt was born...
i carefully snipped off the metal...and youbetcha that i will save this elastic for..um something...
then i just carefully wrapped the ribbon around the elastic and hot glued it.
a word to the wise.....
once you hot glue..it will lose a lot of stretch...so make sure that the elastic is fitted to you.
or you can sew it...
and it will keep it's elasticity.that's a fun word to say.
elasticity.
try it.
then i folded over the ends of the metal and sewed them (cause i'm out of hot glue sticks.)
and i really tried to take pictures....
and you know my disdain at pictures of myself...
and apparently i can't hold the camera straight...then i asked my husband to help me...
and got an okay one...
but after i got mad at him
he quit..
so, it's back to this....
have a GREAT Friday.
TGIF.
Love this--had to pin it!

ReplyDeleteI was just a Walmart and saw that same trim but didn't buy any because I wasn't sure what to make with it. You are so cleaver. Now I need to go back and get some of that trim. Super cute! Love it!
