i spy quilts and swaps..

so i've done 4 i spy quilt swaps....and i love them. it' so fun to see what everyone picks out
(loads of owls...lol) and i'm starting to get the pictures of the finished pictures...and it's so excited! i love looking and seeing what squares were mine..and what squares were my favorite as i got them!

just enough style:

love the colors in blocks all together...

christine
this is some serious quilting...

jana(my sister)

so fun!

this one is not from our swap..but had to include it cause it sooo pretty!
source (dear mandy..see all the different sizes?..just trying to help! lol)

and this one is really fun too
(she also does i spy swaps!)

if you notice.....
my quilt is not on here....

it's in piles..
and i'm up to 200 squares.
don't you dare judge me.

i am going to push 4 twin beds together and use my quilt to cover it cause it's gonna be HUGE!

i always sign up enough people..but since someone ALWAYS backs out last minute  I have joined each swap..and i put the extras in my etsy shop... so if you want the the ispy quilt without having to do any leg work....

alrighty
i'm ready to do another swap!
this time around i'm changing it up a little bit...

i usually do 10 squares of 10 different fabrics (equals 100 squares) -10 people

this time around i'm going to do 20 squares of 5 different fabrics -20 people

(so if i don't get 20 people then we will go back to ten and ten)

details:
this is an i spy quilt..we want fun bright prints...something to find...look at the quilt above and see what pops out...(plaids, polka dots, stripes...these don't work...)

100% cotton only.

squares are cut 6 inches by 6 inches and need to be exact (for those serious quilters)
(most fabric (depending on the size) you can get 7 squares per 6 inches...so you only need to buy 18 inches of each fabric)
an fyi: the edge of the fabric (what says the maker like joanns)
needs to be trimmed off before you cut..

it will need to be in the mail by nov 1.
(i want it over and done with before the holidays!)

Included in the envelope needs to be postage or money (no checks please) for postage to mail it back to you (100 squares fits into a priority envelope for $4.95.
(if you want me to ship it back to you in a manila envelope then please send one in the envelope)
it's open to everyone (we had a girl from the netherlands last swap (ps super fun fabric!)) you just have to include enough US money to ship it back to you...

um...okay. that's all i can think...
it's a lot of crap..
but if you want in..
email me at kimbowest21 (at) gmail.com

i'll take the first 20 and put the rest on a waiting list until i have enough people then i will start a new one...so email me even if you are reading this in november!

  2. Mine blocks are still sitting in my craft closet. I don't think I'll be touching them until after Christmas. But I'll definitely send you a pic when I'm done!

  4. What a fun round up of quilts! I really like seeing what everyone else has done.
I used the leftover scraps and made a book. Here's the link to the blogpost.
