so, i have disgraced my name of a craft blogger.
i bought my kids halloween costumes...
last year...when they were 90% off a walmart..i took the kids in and said, pick WHATEVER you want.
(so i have once again proven my
except the youngest. we have 7 princess dresses. 7. so i totally was planning on letting her pick from the mass....and she decided last min to be a purple puppy.
purple.
kids really put a damper on stuff.
good luck to ashley making cute halloween costumes all match when you have opioniated kids.
just saying.
anyways we went to the family halloween party and had a blast...
and we had a gross amount of crap to eat...
any guesses on how to make this one? it was my favorite...
totally creeped me out!
hope your halloween is filled with candy!
Don't feel bad at all! The ONLY reason I made my daughter's costume this year was because she wanted to be She-Ra, and for some reason they don't have old school cartoon character costumes, unless I'm willing to pay lots of $, my son wore an old dragon costume we had. Have fun trick-or-treating, out here we do "beggars night" (stupid) but it's always done the night before Halloween, to reduce Halloween problems, but then they happen the night before, so yeah, I don't know how well that was thought through...
ReplyDeleteI know how to make the worm looking things!!! Jello in straws!
ReplyDeletegood job amber! i never could have guessed! i had to have my sister tell me!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest - making costumes can be EXPENSIVE! Although I lucked out and did both my daughters for pretty inexpensive this year... that is always the case. My son got a store bought Power Ranger suit (it was a hand-me-down that came without the mask) so I put together a hat/mask for him. It is suppose to be a balmy 45 degrees for our outing tonight....
ReplyDeleteI have to say I love your blog. Everything about it. I stalk you daily. And, I didn't make my kids' costumes either, so don't feel bad. I'm headed to Wally World tomorrow to do the same thing. And, also, not to take the spotlight off of how awesome I think you are, but those are the cutest darn little butterflies I've ever seen. I want to kiss their cheeks off. Miss them so much. Mwah! Happy Halloween you H-O-T Stimpson girls. :)
ReplyDeletei made those worms this weekend! except i made mine with raspberry jello and a little bit of green food coloring. they looked so real, no one wanted to eat them!
ReplyDeleteI rarely make costumes anymore either -they can get pretty pricey. I usually check out the kids second hand store near our house first. Or buy after Halloween when they are really cheap. I never would have guess it was Jello in straws! Cool!
ReplyDeleteMy my what a cute family you have-evey single one of them! And that sister who made that gross food must be pretty darn awesome! just sayin.... ;) FUN--as usual! I didn't get some of those pics so I will be stealing them! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful array of costumes!! Everyone looks fantastic! Purple huh? Ha!! What can I say???

I stumbled upon this blog and am toally in love right now! I'm pretty sure you make the worms by freezing jello in them! I am literally counting down the minutes until I go home so I can make some rosette thingys for my daughter. I am so excited!
