a frame..within a frame...

remember this picture?
well, I love this saying...but decided i wanted a chunkier frame.

but the vinyl is on the glass...so i either had to find a frame that i loved that was the exact size of this one..
or take tim gunn's advice and make it work.

well, since i'm a thrift store shopper...finding the exact size frame would be tricky.

so..let's make it work.
happenchance that my mom gave me a big box of frames. (big.huge.)

so i dug through and  found one....

made sure my orginal frame fit inside...

then got krylon happy....

I left the glass out....and spray painted the mat and then hot glued the frame right inside...

gives it a nice chunky feel without costing me anything . shazam.

i'm working on another frame and thinking of painting this mirror to go on top...

once you start..it's hard to stop...

and since i have about 15 frames left...
i've been looking at other things to do with them...

  4. You make me giggle with every post.

I LOVE that quote. I've been unemployed for 8 months, filling out countless applications to jobs I was sure to get, (3 1/2 years in retail should make you qualified for a retail job, right?) and finally got feedback from a random shot-in-the-dark photography application I filled out on a whim. I believe truer words were never spoken... except maybe "everything happens for a reason." ;)
Keep doing what you do and I'm going to go pin this post! =D

  5. Oooh! I like it! I love all the other inspiration too. I'm kind of a frame collector, but I never know what to do with them once I have them. This is good inspiration!

    Thanks!
