2011...the year of the lantern.
the halloween stuff is out...so i grabbed these boo lanterns and spray painted them white (about 3 coats!)
i got this cute tissue paper at walmart for about $1.50
i cut it into rectangles..
and modpodged them around the lamp..
i waited for it to dry and then did another layer...
(I mod podged the lamp..laid the sheet of tissue paper down..and rubbed in between each groove before i mod podged the top!
now..in the sun...you are going to see the boo..
luckily for me..i'm not putting a light in it..so you can't see the boo when it's hung in the room!
i have been rearranging these to get it a way i like that looks good from every angle.
(poor poked ceiling)
and everytime i'm starting to like it...i see a void. a void that only aNOTHER paper lantern can fill.
Kimbo--this is seriously awesome! Great job.
ReplyDeleteLol- "the year of the lantern". This is a super cute post, and of course, a super cute lantern.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I need to make a hanging light over my 50's restaurant booth in my kitchen. Maybe you have an idea of a retro light? The leather in the booth is mauve and off white. Thanks for any suggestions.
