101 tees

let's take care of some business....

first. Hi. how's your monday going?

second. don't expect alot from me this week.
my kids start school this week...
we have dentist apts.
and my daughter is getting baptized on sat and  I just decided to make her dress...(in true slacker fashion)

but in good news....

my husband left me.

to go hunting.
that means i won't have to keep up the appearances of being a good house wife (ie...showers...dinners...cleaning)

so i should get a load of crafting down...so the next weeks will be very post filled!!

okay..real item of business! I am one of the 12 stars on crafting with the stars ( i know...still can't get over it.) and right now there is a poll going for themes....so if you are entering...or just an avid fan...go vote for your favs (you know mine are all thrift store crap) you can vote HERE

and i just wanted to let you know....i might have just won the olympic lottery. (who knew a thing existed) and someone might have found a secret diet pill that will make me lose 12 pounds in one week and keep it off. also. michael wants to pay me loads of money just by clicking my mouse. just so you are aware...i'm about to become extremely skinny and wealthy.

okay. onto the real reason we are here:

I got asked to review this awesome book called

101 Tees: Restyle*Refashion*Revamp by Cathie Filian

and ...it's awesome.
You know i love myself a good redo....
and she's got loads...stenciling..embroidery floss..dying....all sorts of fun ideas...

i saw this one in the holiday section and thought it was too cute to wear just for valentines day...
got myself a $2 t-shirt from walmart...

took red scraps..cut a heart...
 pinned it inside the shirt..
 sewed (this is the front)
and started cutting

and i'm sure the more you wash it..the awesomer it will get

these were my some of my favorites:
and all the color in these flowers are embroidery floss! amazing!

anyways..great book...loads of ideas....and it will make you never ever get rid of another shirt ever ever again!

have  a great monday!!!!!

  7. What a great idea! I could see doing this for every holiday for a quick holiday shirt for me and/or kids. I'm going to try this out for a Mickey Shirt for an upcoming Disney World trip! Please come link up on my Mommy Monday party http://momommamoney.blogspot.com/2011/08/mommy-monday-with-momomma.html
