so i suck...and some spray painting.

i really slacked on the 4 of july projects.

{i actually do a pretty good job of slacking on most holiday projects.}

but luckily i have a blast from the past (i.e. last year) and i'm shamelessly going to try to pass it off as new.....

(for the record...i'm proud to be an American.

i just represent it poorly.)

AND

and I got some new spray paint yesterday....
(at walmart for $5.)

and cause I'm impatient...i've already used the whole can.

and i'm waiting for the husband to come home so i can buy 3 more.

LOVE.
true love.

like want to marry.
(sorry glouise.)

it's fantastic.

I've been dreading redoing my kitchen chairs because I didn't want to sand them down.

and then prime them.

and then give them a second coat.

then paint them

then give them a second coat of the that.

and then glaze them.

then distress them.

but with the spray paint...

i sprayed
 (yup..didn't even sand)

and then turned it over.

and sprayed.

then turned it another way

and sprayed.

total time actually working on it...
like 10 min

(drying time was in there...but i multitasked so it was no bother.)

A WARNING:

shake. shake. shake.

i picked up the spray paint and forgot to shake it before spraying...

and it was gritty.

see the "dust" onmy hand.

i sprayed the rest while shaking and it's beautiful and smooth......

now....i used the entire can on this chair....

and it needs one more coat.

i have two more chairs to go
so I think about 4 cans for 3 chairs is not too shabby....

just considering the time I'm going to save!
i already love my chair so much!

i'm hoping that they are going to have more than just FLAT...but hey, i'm not complaining!
this is going to save me SO MUCH TIME!

  1. Ooh, that's a neat idea. Maybe I can talk my husband into painting our kitchen chairs :)

  2. I have exactly the same chairs and have been deciding whether to refinish or replace. I think I'm gonna give this a try!

  6. Great review. Ive been wanting to try these ones for a while now. I have been putting off doing my dining room set...maybe I should just spray paint it instead!! You are doing 3 chairs and used 4 cans of spray paint...I have 4 chairs and a table...so maybe 10 cans do you think??
