ctr towel

My neice got baptized! I'm super into handmade gifts these days...you don't have to worry about her getting it from someone else (my nephew got like 4 tie tacks at his baptism)

my joanns fabric and my towel from walmart

the symbol to copy...

means Choose the Right. (it's from my church)

cut out the C T and R (but you could do anything really..names...initials..flowers what have you)
sewed it on....
oh and .wait...that's it.
nice and easy.

then I made a matching headband

cause aren't the towel and headband supposed to match..?  mine do

(i forgot to mention yesterday that you can go here to vote for your favorite blogs on babble (present company included) you can vote for as many as you like...and there are a ton of great ones over there...and a few new ones that i found and now love!)

  12. Love this idea! While I was in the Primary Presidency in my ward, I took charge of making these towels for the children getting baptized. We would go visit the child a week prior to baptism and give them the towel so they could have it on the actual day. So meaningful. I got the idea and tutorial from this blog:

    http://www.therachelberryblog.com/2010/01/ctr-towel-quick-tutorial.html

And it has an adorable and sweet poem tying the towel and baptism together. I love your towel and just wanted to share the poem with you if you hadn't already seen it...I just think it makes the towel even more important to the day/child!
