and for those of you that are wondering...hot glue and felt are terrrific together...sometimes tooo terrific. so make sure that you work fast cause once that glue sets..it's there to stay!
This process is easy peasy. just strips of felt..rolled.
I hot glue it all along the way to make sure it can withstand the terrors that are my daughters.
glued it on a headband....
and added some felt (are you seeing a pattern?)
for the flower....
I rolled each petal and the middle...I pinched the ends after I rolled it (like quilling) and then hot glued it to some white felt.
and cut it out.
then pull off alllllll the glue gun "hairs" (bane of my existence)
then I just hot glued a clip on
(I buy all my clips at sally's beauty supply for CHEAP)
this one is my daughters FAVORITE!
I also made a few more. (well..cause it's addicting...and i'm an addict)
My daughters school mascot is a tiger! and they are supposed to wear black or orange on Fridays! So I made her a tiger paw to wear!
and remember this one to go with her christmas shirt?
Omg, I love these hair accessories!

These are the cutest! I love the rolled flowers, they are AWESOME! I do have one question... I use the same kind of clips to make hair bows for my little girl but have the hardest time keeping the hot glue from spilling over and gluing the clips shut... any tips or suggestions?
ReplyDeleteI love your blog.. a girl with a glue gun has another adventure ~!
ReplyDeleteGreat hair do dads...you are so creative.. Good Job~!

I love all of your hair accessories! I wish I could come up with half of the things you do! Great idea on the mascot...can't wait to do that next year when my daughter is in elementary school.
ReplyDeleteSo stinking cute!!
ReplyDeleteLove'em...but I'm still in my post-Christmas- crafting-blah time, so I might have to wait awhile before I try them.
ReplyDeleteAbout the glue hairs (is that what they're really called, 'cause it made me giggle), my sis-in-law said to take a blow dryer on hot and blow over them and they melt away. Haven't tried it, but sounds good.
Freaking great ideas!!!! Love the one with the tulle!
ReplyDeleteLoving these! Can't wait to try them out, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh Kim, how can you not know the ultimate Glue Gun Secret. When you are done with a project, hit it with the highest heat on you hair dryer. This causes your glue stringy's to melt into the fabric and become invisible!
ReplyDeleteMy school mascot is a Tiger and our school colors are orange and blank too!! Well anyway I love this so much :)
