well, I thought it needed an autumn touch....
I took
A. some book pages left over from THIS project
B. Some brown paper bags
C. my better homes and garden magazine.
I just took a leaf and traced out a design
cut it out and take a stamp and add a pop of color
I added the better homes and garden magazine last....it just had such pops of autumn colors that i had to use it.
when I had all my leaves cut out...I just took some packaging tape and taped them to the wall..
sorry about these pictures....this tree is painted on a staircase and it is in the weirdest spot to get a normal picture of it....I asked my husband to let me stand on his shoulders to take a picture...but he just looked at me like I was crazy!
I thought it would be fun for my kids to take off a leaf each day and see if we can get them off before it snows....and knowing Idaho it should be SOON (even though it has been unnaturally warm)
AND I also thought these leaves would look great as a garland....
just like these from the ticklish moose
It looks sooo nice!!! :)

I think I may steal the tree idea... We will painting in the family room (sooner rather than later, i hope) and right now theres circa 1970 mirror glued (yes GLUED!) to the wall... will need something new there and I think that may work well, especially since hubby just pulled out a ton of family pics! Thanks for the great idea!

Very cute! I love how you used book pages for some of the leaves. I made a family tree, much smaller, and in a frame. Check it out if you get a chance.
