SYTYC Dollar store challenge!

So I SQUEEEEKED by this week on SYTYC. I did not enjoy it . But who could blame you --those toad stools were to die for cute!

oh, and the by the way...WEEK 2 is up and it is baby week! GO VOTE! I honestly love each one. EACH ONE! I added eight  crafts to make to my to-do list! Good luck choosing...it's going to be a close one!!!!

But anyways here is my tutorial for my Party Pom Poms...

My dollar store purchase
I actually went back and bought one more ball. So I'm in about 6 bucks at this point.

I took the cups added some hot glue around the bottom and stuck it the ball

start with one and work your way out....they match up pretty good.

when you get to the last few cups...they may be slight gaps...I just make sure that side is up. and that's where I attach my hanger.

My hanger is a pipe cleaner just twisted to at the bottom to make a loop
now, let me tell you...hot glue did not work with these paper cups or the pipe cleaners...see all that gooey mess. So you will have to find another alternative adhesive (don't tell your hot glue gun your cheating on him)
they styrofoam did okay with the hot glue though.
I spray painted one ball red.
I bought blue cups for my other pom pom
and I trimmed down the other styrofoam cups
to make a smaller sized one.

I just took some string and some push pins and hung them on the porch.

  10. Seriously?! They look like a modern sculpture (squint a bit). I love them! I wonder if I could get away with a trio of white ones in a corner of my modern-ish house? LOVE.

I’m having a new link party “Cheap Thrills Thursday” starting the 29th. It’s for creative ideas that cost under $20. If you have a project you’d like to share, I’d love for you to stop by and join in!
