cord ties

I saw a picture of this idea somewhere at sometime....but for the life of me I can't track it down. BUT I loved the idea so much that I had to post about it. I love things that make my life easier. Neater. Nicer. and these little handy dandy things do all three. Plus they are great for any leftover scraps you can't seem to throw away (I am the biggest craft hoarder. I have all these scraps so I am soooo happy when I find a project to use them all!) and they take minutes to make...minutes.

see. Brilliant. and sooooo simple

To do:
two pieces maybe 5 inches by two....the less amount of cord the smaller you go

Right sides together. sew three sides

turn it right side out and tuck in the unsewed edge.
pin around and sew around again.

Man, are you guys getting sick or seeing my carpet or what?
 Add velcro
HOT glued some felt and a button.

one for the iron.
one for my sewing machine foot.

and to prove you don't have to have a sewing machine to make one: a hot glued one:

same basic idea...glue up 3 sides. let dry. turn right side out

tuck in the unglued side
hot glue that
add some velcro (with hot glue of course)

and I  added a little rosette just to make it purty.

One for my phone charger (that is currently being used):

and if you don't put any fancy pancy stuff on it...they are reversible!

one side
the other one.

Look how organized it all looks!  Just don't look too closely...My cupboard looks gross...I've scrubbed and
scrubbed and it is just stained.

  2. What a great idea. I have about 7 cords fighting for space on my desk right now so I am going to make up some of those to corral them.
