thin ribbon bows

I was at the park the other day....and this girl had the cutest bow in her hair. and I stared at it and stared at it...until she looked over at me and stared back. Then I packed up my kids, drove to Joanns and bought some thin ribbon (50 cents to a dollar) and came home and plugged in my glue gun.

Each "flower" is about ten to twelve 4-6 inch strands.(all depends on the size you want to make)
I hot glue the ends to make a circle...then add a dob of glue in the middle and press the centers together to make the 8.

burn yourself a few times (this step is required but good luck..the ribbon is so thin it's hard not too!)
Then you just glueing one on top. I start by making an x shape and then just keep adding until it's nice and full

THen you just add on a pretty little button or another bow to the middle to cover your glue clumps.

and add a back (i buy mine like 200 for $3 at Sally's Beauty Supply.

Then adorn your loved ones so hopefully strangers will stare at their heads too.

and since I need to go to CA (craftaholics Anonymous) I couldn't stop there. (and like my kids NEED anymore hair bows!!

added this one on a button on another bow.

.
Stuck one on  a headband for my niece that will hopefully get born TODAY!

notice the plugged nose...we were taking pictures and my daughter came in with a stinky diaper!
Photo shoot over!!!
I thought this bow would be so cute as a bow on a present. I think that is how I am going to wrap all my girl presents...with  a hair bow as the bow
see? adorable.

  1. these are really cute. I will have to try my hand at making a few. I like the idea as using them for bows on presents. I can never seem to make a bow on a present box, but I think I can make this bow.
