I knew I wanted to make them *kinda matching outfits.
Got these shirts at walmart
can't beat that!
I just had a bunch of brown and pink fabric (love that combo) and I kinda just pieced it together to make a skirt
I made them slightly alike but used the fabric in different spots
Made it into a long rectangle....stuck some elastic through the top and sewed up the sides
I don't have a serger...I use pinking shears and it does the job pretty good!
Now those shirts...although quite patriotic didn't really go...
So they got a little addition as well
cut it out and pinned it on and sewed it around
added a ruffle and some buttons
all wrapped up and ready to go
adorable!

ReplyDeleteAdorable! My mom sent me a link to another project on your blog and I've had fun looking through your great projects.
ReplyDeleteJust one *little* thing, it really bugs me when people talk about being glad they don't have twins. I have 5 year old twin girls, and though having twins isn't always the easiest thing in the world, it is one of the greatest. Just saying.
