here's my argument trying to sway her:
oh...where do i start! if you didn't have all the cartridges i would hands down say a silhouette. it's AMAZING!!!!!
go here for a basic how to
it basically can use whatever fonts you have on your computer (i just keep downloading all these free ones!--like they have a disney one i used for kameron's party last year) and it has a trace feature so you can find an image you want and outline it and it will cut it out for you {go here to see how it works with clip art}
it can correlate with your printer so you can design something and print off all the colorfulness and then load it in your cameo and it will cut it all out {go here}
it has whatever shapes you need and you buy them for like a dollar each (or you can get a membership and then it's cheaper like ten dollars a month will give you $25 worth of clipart) and they give a free one away each week...(i have yet to buy one!) (you can download the silhouette studio now and start playing around and saving the free ones
go here for other random crap that the cameo does
okay..so obvs i'm partial to cameo. i really love it. but the cricut really has an idiot proof of cuteness. it's all right there are far as outlines and layers and stuff! but if you use fonts alot...then you would totally love the cameo. but it's all designing on the computer so if that's not you....you are just going to have to weigh the pros and cons and see which one you like better! good luck and tell me what one you pick!
and this place has them cheaper than the silhouette cameo store...http://www.expressionsvinyl.com/catalog/silhouette-accessories/silhouette.html
i've reviewed the cricut and cameo once already HERE--it really is a hard choice! for me the cameo is 100%. but I had the cricut...and i really loved all the cuteness each cartridge has....if i scrapbooked more i might lean more towards the cricut (and with loads of people upgrading...you can get some cartridges for cheap!!!) you really can't go wrong!
but in case you need ONE more reason to love the cameo....
it does 3-d shapes...and patterns! and today i'm taking you to expressions vinyl to read about it!!!

You girls are away ahead of me. Technology is a great thing how it keeps improving.. I was in grade school in the 50's and all we had was a pencil and encyclopedia's.. My oh my how things have changed..
