you know..sometimes i plan outfits in my head...
and i had just gotten a new white mossimo boyfriend t from target
(best $8 ever spent...seriously. best.shirt.ever)
(i own three...and i will continue buying until i own every color)
and i wanted a necklace with a pop of color.
a necklace i don't own.
so i used it as an excuse to head to Joann's
and here's what i came out with:
everything was 40% off....then i had a take 10% off of that...
and i only used 1/5 of the silver beads...and half of the blue...
loving coral....it makes me happy...
i cut off the beads and restrung them --and attached them directly to the necklace using crimp beads
(you can go here to see a little more in depth tut on the basics of crimp beads)
i added a little pop of silver on every other one..
but wait...are you noticing that there are no blue beads? (If you didn't than i will deduct 15 inattentive points to you)
well..you see..I wanted to be able to have a coral necklace....and a coral and blue necklace..
so i made a little blue attachment
you can just clip it on when you want a little pop of blue
question: how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?
how many pictures does it take til you get one you like?
we may never know....

ReplyDeleteThis is a great necklace, love the two colors together. I probably wouldn't wear it without both colors, but I love the idea of being able to change it up.

Thank you Kimbo for sharing this wonderful piece. Like you, I fancy wearing plain shirts so I could put on colorful jewelries to accentuate.
