sidewalk paint

this is another pinterest favorite...
it's super easy and all the supplies are found right in your cupboard...
i just fill up the cups about halfway with water...

i add about 1/3ish cup of corn starch...i just dump it in...
and stir it up...it will look like milk...

then you get to add some color (food coloring) i add about 4 drops....

add different shades (you don't have to add a color and use it as white)

We let it sit while we finished our lunch...and the corn starch settles..you just need to take a spoon and stir it up and it will dissolve again!

then you PAINT!

i've seen some on pinterest that used a muffin tin...so if you have kids that don't share or want a variety of colors than that would be a great alternative to cups...

the mess after we were done....

i did notice that after the paint was in the sun all day it all pretty much turned white...so you might want to add more food coloring...

and i also have heard that if you have alot of food coloring it might slightly stain your concrete.....

so choose your weapon.

  1. Fun!! And cheap if you have that stuff already! Nice! Maybe not the stained concrete part though... haha.

  4. How fun! Can you believe that I actually don't have cornstarch in my pantry? I know, something's wrong with me. But I'm sure my daughter would love this, so I might want to go pick some up.
I featured you on today's Show Off Saturday.
