idunno.

so i have been in a craftying funk.

just can't get anything started.

i mean i have project ideas coming out my ears....
but no motivation...

i was going to make new lunch bags for my kids...
and even bought all the fabric for it..

then found some on sale at old navy...
so i bought them.

and then there was a time i went into joanns....
and left..
without buying ANYTHING.

hasn't ever happened.

ever.

(i think i might be sick.)

so instead...i spent my time reorganizing my pinterest board...
Dear pinterest, please make that process easier.

i took my sewing board...and split it into sewing crafts, sewing kids clothes, and sewing for me /techniques.

i took my random board...split it into a random crap,

funny crap, and
crap i love..

and i've been adding new descriptions...cause it fun.

It has taken me HOURs...and i'm still about half done.

and this is that time i'm super glad husband doesn't read the blog cause i don't think this would be considered a proper mom activity to spend the day doing while his kildrens (i meant to put that...kids and children together) run around unsupervised while he is working hard.

but what he doesn't know doesn't hurt him.
and i bribe my children with candy to not tell him i was on the computer for the better part of the day.

i'm also been online shopping.

cause i thought loads of fun earrings would get me out of my funk

i'll let you know if it worked in 4-6 weeks when they arrive...
(got these from colorhouse--i literally got 21 pairs of earrings and earring hoops for about $30.)

and i'm gifting some out....i'm not keeping all 21 pairs.

although 21 is my lucky number.

i also have been playing competitive card games......It's pretty intense...

i also thought about starting a what a wore day...

then remember why  i haven't..

because a. i hate posing. b. i have a kid that likes to run in front of the camera. c.  i have a dog that runs in front of the camera. d. i hate bribing someone to take a picture of me... and e. i reallly hate posing...

oh...and f. i wear gym clothes/pjs about 80 % off the time...

seriously. me like comfy clothes.

but i did have a good time playing around with picmonkey..

we also played hooky and went to the zoo.....

Is it wrong that i wanted to snuggle a peacock out with us so i could rip off the tail feathers and mount  them on my wall......

ha ha. only kidding peta.

(only cause there was no way to get one out of the park)

i also updated my etsy shop awhile ago...

ummm...i fixed a hole in my daughter's pants...

and i made another skirt extender....

what i'm trying to say is this...

low expectations of me this week would be great.
thank you much.

  1. You crack me up seriously! Love reading your posts, creative or otherwise! I used to work in a Castle (In Wales, UK) and we had peacocks that roamed freely. I still have a thing for their feather design now. (And nope I never smuggled one out :) Have a fabby day x

  4. Love reading your posts each week-I'm absolutely horrible at posting comments but I'm working on that. Thanks for sharing your un-inspiring week. It makes me feel a lot less guilty about mine :)

  6. if you're in a rut, you could just make me a skirt extender - gives you something to do, gives me something to cross off my list - it's a win win :)

  8. My favorite part is that you took a picture of yourself playing cards to show that you did do something other than be on the computer! (I hope you take that in the lighthearted way I intended it and not any other way!) I think it's AWESOME and I want to do it too...so when my hubby comes home and asked me what I did I can just hand him the picture (ok the camera because we all know I won't actually print it)! And the what I wore thing...brilliant! Just so I know what I've already wore this week and don't repeat it too much! I think the girls at my hubby's work think I own 2 outfits!

  10. I am sooooo the same way right now. I think it's because the weather is finally warming up for good, and I'm finishing a semester at design school so I have finals to worry about... I just can't seem to keep doing the same activity for more an like, 10 minutes. And sadly for our messy house, that includes cleaning.

  11. oh gosh I've been the same way lately. I have literally 5 projects cut out/half started. ugh. I use the excuse of being half ways preggo and in the uncomfortable stage....
I will sign that pinterest please make re organizing easier petition !

  12. You crack me up! I too wish that Pinterest would make the organizing a lot faster/easier. I have 33 boards now and it still doesn't seem like enough. I'd love a way to batch pin things to boards. I have way too many "likes" because it's easier to like something while using my phone... and I tell myself I'll go back and repin it later... and now I have almost twice as many likes as pins...

All inspiration, no motivation! I'm right there with ya. Maybe we should give up pinterest for a week... yeah that ain't going to happen... a day?

    Maybe...

    nah...

  13. Best.Post.Ever.

The patches on your daughter's pants reminds me I need to look for patches for my son's pants. I swear he wears the knees out of them before I've even paid for them! So add "inspired blog reader" to your ACCOMPLISHED list.

  14. I'm in awe of bloggers, I don't know how you guys keep churning out stuff constantly. Kids parties plus you guys are heading towards summer. I think you should just call it reflection time. Any way posts like this make me happy to know you're all normal - especially after I woke up to a massive craft fail.
Motivation is sometime totally over rated (I write this having taken my kids to daycare and school without a shower)

    Enjoy your funk

  21. Your opening pic is what I think! I too am in a funk. Told my husband last night I finished up 16 cup cozies and 4 bags for adding rice so I can freeze and apply to my aching back. I have this wonderful 16 needle embroidery machine and a pile of fabric as tall as me and no motivation. As you say, a bazillion ideas but no umph!

To be really honest with you, please don't start a "what I wore" post. I come to your blog for your personality, your ideas, your creativity and NOT what you wore. I just unsubscribed to 3 blogs that do that. I have zero interest in that. If I did, I would be seeking out a fashion blog. It makes sense to me when there is a special event or it is part of your craftiness.

Don't mean to offend but I say stick with your niche.

May your mood be inspired. May your needles not break. May your glue gun not burn you.

All the best for the day!
