so this week on sytyc is close...and so i decided to make some voodoo dolls of my opponents....
i stuck the pins in the head so they would quit getting so many good ideas...and some in their hands so they couldn't execute any previous plans...
but apparently...my dolls didn't work....
(you can go here to vote!)
because really? have you seen their projects? they are amazing...
by jessica
and mandy
so maybe the voodoo dolls are acting more like acupuncture...
(okay: i don't wish any ill will on my competition. i actually love these girls...you know me and mandy are tight from her slaughter of followers competition...and did you know jessica lives in pocatello just like me...(she won't tell me where she lives...good thing cause i want to egg her house everytime she wins me. so I don't want an emails complaining about my unsportsmanshiplike behavior....that even goes for you mom.)
so i decided to just use them as a pin pillow...
they are super easy to make...i did the purple and white with hot glue..and the others with sewing machine...so choose your weapon..
and i did felt..canvas and fabric! all worked fine..felt doesn't fray so i always lean towards it.
just take my pattern here....
and choose your size and print out...cut out two from fabric..
sew (or glue) around..
leave an opening at the top of the head to pour in some rice.
i wouldn't recommend beans...or you pin is going to hit them cause they are too big...
(and i thought it would be nice to use the felt scraps as stuffing...but it was too hard to jam them down inside...so rice works best..
then you can add any embellishments you want!
i actually was making them and my kids thought they were dolls for them...
so what's a mom to do but oblige?
(but i didn't...only cause it was ten o'clock at night)
and because i have a twisted sense of humor...
the red felt is supposed to be blood....
Love this post Kimbo! I want to vote for your SYTYC project just because of THIS post! :) LOL!
