refashioned skirt.

there is a reason i don't iron.

totally torched it. whoops.

there is also a reason i go to joanns biweekly..

to get roaring hot deals.

like this crazy cool fabric i scored in the remnants bin at a 50% off.

but it was on sale so i got another 40% off my 50% which brought it down to $2.

things like this make my week.

so i bought it..

and measured my skirt

and cut two panels and sewed them together....

then did a loose base stitch and gathered it up....

and sewed it all along the top of mt skirt......

and the fabric doesn't fray so i didn't even finish the ends...(and fyi..it's really acutally even along the bottom...not entirely sure why it didn't photograph that way!) but you are sadly mistaken if you think i am going to retake the pictures...cause i aint'.

and ANOTHER fyi..didn't know i had hole in my tights. thanks daughter number 2 with the velcro on your shoes.

it's nice and stretchy and flowy and it was super easy to make and i love it.

i also feel i should mention that the shirt is miley cyrus from walmart that i scored for $2.

i am going back to joanns today to see if i can find some more of this..

it would be so perfect for a kid's pettiskirt!

or maybe a scarf...

or maybe another skirt.

and then my daughter wanted to get in the pictures...
