paper lanterns.

so it's paper lantern week here on agaagg.

well...unofficially.

what happened is..i wanted to add some paper lanterns...

and found so many fun ways to do it...that i just couldn't pick which one...

so i...um..made them all?

you might have gotten a sneak peak here

and this is where i would show you an awesome finished picture of them all...

but i haven't made them all yet.

i figured if i had to blog about them..it would inspire me to...you know..finish.

i cutesified it instead of buying a new one cause i knew all these lanterns would mostly cover it up....


okay onto the first one:

cupcake liners (now you can totally substitute coffee filters..same basic idea....

i had this old lantern i got at a dollar store many moons ago.....and i've seen them everywhere since then..(even ones with lights)

I just added a dob of hot glue..

sschrunced it up a little bit and added it to my paper lantern....

(fyi..you could use a Styrofoam ball..i just wanted it open to get the light through it)

i got this far...and ran out of cupcake liners...

the total project used 5 packages of cupcake liners....

at a buck a piece...

so this project is probably about 7 dollars..counting glue sticks and tax.

yeah...well apparently i didn't either.

i saw awesome silver cake things down the bakery aisle and challenged you to make something with anything down the aisle...

well, this is what i made.

i mean..it's pretty bad when i come up with it and then i'm the one who forgot about it.....
