clean or dirty? THAT IS THE QUESTION....

.....this is coming more out of necessity than anything. my husband has suggested this about oh..i dunno...before I started blogging....and i'm FINALLY getting around to it!

played with the fonts on the computer. (my new lovely computer...) (okay, it's not exactly new...but every time I get it on...I want to french it. I love it. It has made my life/blogging (okay almost the same thing) so much easier...)
then I thought...I need a bit more..
so I typed this up and glued it underneath!

then took my fancy pancy circle cutter and cut me some super circles.....

ran it through my laminator

I left a strip..and folded it down and glued it to the back

then I tied a ribbon to it...stuck it on my magnet and put it on my dishwasher.
and fall.

guess what the dishwasher isn't magnetic.

who knew?
so I got one of those suction cup things...licked it all slobber like
and stuck that baby on.

I saw these cute ones online:

(you can go HERE and print out this for free)
(completely clean...or disgustingly dirty? I could put this on a button and pin it my kids...I'm afraid It would 95% of the time be on disgustingly dirty!)

I had to have mine seperate..cause my kids would play with this and my clean would be put to dirty and then my husband would put his dirty plate in the stack of clean dishes and MADNESS WOULD ENSUE!

  1. I had to make some of these too because i was tired of being asked, are they clean or dirty? But I also forget so it was for me too. I hate having to lift up a dish and try and guess. ewwww!
Your font is so cute and I love the way it hangs from the dishwasher. I used velcro to attach mine.

  2. Everything about this made me LOL. Particularly the frenching of the new computer. That'show I feel about my Silhouetee sometimes - all lusty.

I should make those for my kids. Along with a t-shirt that says, "Don't worry! It's chocolate!"

  3. I thought of my son, Rich with his household of 4 kids. This would be a great item for them to use for their dishwasher. I have no dishwasher and when the grandkids come they complain.. I tell them.."I have two dishwahsers ~ and then I hold up my two hands".. They are not impressed.. LOL
Have a Tiggeriffic Day~! ta ta for now from Iowa:)

  5. I don't have a dishwasher...I know, sad right?!? But I think I could use these anyways and dangle them from the sink edge. It'd be funny anyway :)

  7. I love this! I think I'll make a set cuz they're so cute and funny! Even though when you open my dishwasher, it's pretty obvious if they're dirty, that doesn't stop my hubby from asking!LOL. I love the idea of your suction cup hook, too. I agree, who knew...with all the clean/dirty magnets for sale in stores, it's assumed that dishwahers are magnetic! Thanks for cute idea!

  8. I love how that looks. And since I never remember it's clean till I put the dirty stuff in it will be so helpful too! Thanks for sharing that.

  9. I implemented this about 3 years ago and it has been WONDERFUL! I actually did it for our laundry baskets too..because we're so bad about folding and putting away laundry in our house.

  11. Great idea...it's my families excuse for leaving dishes in the sink..."Didn't know if they were clean or dirty." No more excuses!

  15. I've had a small wood plaque to do this for my roommates for the longest time. This just means I need to get with it! I think this idea is such a cute, and VERY functional craft! :) Thanks for the inspiration!!!

  17. This is FANTASTIC! I also made some for my washing machine too. I have lost one to many items because my husband (trying to be so helpful) has put things into the dryer that should...actually...NEEDED to be hung to dry! Now...he won't have to guess when there's laundry in the washing machine, and if something is delicate!
