Pressed Flowers Bookmarks

We went a walk a month ago and my daughter picked every flower she saw. We ended up with a nice variety and we put them in a phone book to dry them.

all flat and pretty.

but then I thought...what are you supposed to do with a pile of pressed flowers.

I took strips of this

and filled it with flowers

and I just kept adding tape over tape until it was sturdy and then I punched a hole

Then I added a ribbon

pretty little *almost free* bookmark

I made a few of these

and on an unrelated school note:
then I thought...what else could I use these flowers for....
I had two pieces of glass
and smooshed some between them

and yes the most awful picture..you try taking a picture of glass.
Thought they would be pretty as a coaster or centerpiece

(I would actually use plexiglass if I was going to do this again.)

then I whipped out some cards...couldn't let all those smooshed weeds go to waste!

once again I just used packaging tape to keep the flowers from getting destroyed
