earring holder

So explanation for this one: I needed an earring holder for my daughter.

One of my many goodwill frames adorning my garage walls:
plus paint

plus a sheet of this:
($1.00)

I had to trim a few inches off to fit my frame exactly. Then I just hot glued it all the way around.

Then I took some fabric.
Folded it in half and hot glued it together.

And then just hold glued it into a circle using the "fan" technique. (like when you make a fan out of paper)

Don't worry, I made another one to cover up the glue.....(I added two more burns to my count making this project.)

I glued the rosette right on the mesh stuff.

Look how cool.
I made a strap (using hot glue) and another rosette to put on top of that.

wow. that was a lot of pictures for something basic.

and just because it looked cool.


(i later came back and made one for my daughter's friend..

and added hooks to hang her necklace!)

    Very cute! I love the rosette, and the fact that all you used was hot glue:) I don't know what I would do with my hot glue gun!

    I made one of these awhile ago and love it! Yours is cuter though :)
    I also added some coat hooks on the bottom for necklaces and bracelets.

    I was at Joann's {fabric store} buying ribbon yesterday. I saw those plastic sheets and laughed thinking of my grandma and her kleenex box covers. Now I'm headed back to pick some up. Grandma would be so pleased. Thanks for sharing.
