well. it's going good. like i'm making a blanket cause i can only do straight lines...but it actually LOOKs like a blanket (unlike the scarf i tried to make last time)
but after seeing this etsy shop..i'm ready to get my butt in gear and learn how to do more! cause i LOVE LOVE yarn blossom boutique!
i mean...adorable right?
a little about the girl behind it all:
my name is Melissa and I am the creator behind Yarn Blossom Boutique! My love of crochet began as a young teenager when I taught myself how to crochet, but it was when I became a mother that it turned into a passion! I love anything crafty but I quickly realized with little kids (they are now ages 4 and 3) that I needed a medium that didn't created a huge mess, did not have small parts that could be swallowed, and that I could drop in a moment and easily pick back up again. Crochet was perfect for me! I began making items for my kids and then after being asked repeatedly if I sold my creations I began to think about starting an Etsy shop. In March of 2011 I took the plunge! I LOVE creating crochet patterns. It is the perfect design outlet for me and gives me the opportunity to share my creations with others and see them have joy in working with their hands as I do!
and she has generously offered one pattern to THREE lucky agaagg readers!

ReplyDeleteI can do just about any craft you put in front of me _except_ knitting or crocheting. I've tried, we didn't get along very well. I slightly made it work but I'm not that patient.
ReplyDeleteHowever as a photographer I could see using some of her premade stuff on photoshoots. The garden in bloom headbands are adorable.
