Start with a circle.
Now for the pie shapes...I'm sure that there is some mathematical way to figure it out...but high school math is a far memory. So I just cut out some circles on paper and cut slices out of it until they matched up. e=mc 2 kinda stuff. (Hopefully your family has as an even number)
I really have a thing for polka dots lately.
I then cut out faces to put on it... just because a floating face is always fun.
FREAKY!
I laminated it all....because you know it is going to get jelly or pudding on it at some point and time.
Made a hole in the center for the giant brad to go through. Made an arrow..on recycled cardboard.
Put some grommets in the corner to hold the ribbon....laminated this back part too.
Stick your brad through...lovely picture i know.
Put a sticker on the brad head...cause it's cute.
Put a ribbon through and you're done. Look at that cute family of giant floating heads!
So...as I finished my spinner. couldn't wait to try it out. guess what? A new fight breaks out. "it's my turn to spin it. No, it's my turn!" How did I not see this coming. sigh.
I love the floating heads! What a great way to help with all the fights... maybe you need to make a spinner for choosing who spins the spinner!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! My siblings and I were the same way, and this would have been very useful growing up. I am filing this idea away for future use!
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up to A Little Craft Therapy with Life in the Pitts.

ReplyDeleteLove your glue gun banner!!
Soo cute!!! I don't have the arguing kids issue yet, but maybe I could make one for me and the hubs!! :) Thanks for partying with us over at "Show Us What You're Workin' With Wednesday", I hope to see you back next week!!

ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely adorable idea! Too bad I only have one little one!
I love this idea too!!! I am right there with you on the whole fighting thing!! If the kids only knew how much good energy they suck from our being fibers, they would perhaps, be a bit less prone to be top dog.
ReplyDeleteGlad to find you on New Friend Friday!
Very, very smart!! I love your idea and the creativity behind it!! Great work!! The floating heads are my fave!! I may just have to give this a try!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing!! I found you via Me and My Bucket.
Great idea! We use a "kid of the week" thing where that child gets to do everything or gets the first choice for the week. We have a little board with a cow cutout on it and we change out the faces on velcro dots each week. The kids can't wait for their turn to be the kow!
ReplyDeleteI think I found my next project. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
