Hey, finally something for a boy!

Going to see my sister. I like being the aunt that comes bearing gifts....so I am taking my nephew a present. (His name is Max...that'll be important later)
$3.00 shirt 75 cent strip of fabric ( I heart JOAnns.)

took freezer paper and

my love my cricut. cut out some words using

Ironed on  the freezer paper.

(I cut out the Max freehand)
Painted the relax

(which I later repainted white)
Cut out a piece of my fabric to cover MAX with an inch on each side (just to be safe)
pinned it to the inside of the shirt directly behind the max stencil
using the stencil I sewed around the words. (I went over a few times...just liked the way it looked) (and if I went on the paper it just ripped right off so no worries if you can't keep it straight) (and yes, I realize this looks gray.) (!)

now, very carefully I took my scissors and snipped off the inside of each letter. Just the black....don't get the underneath!
(see--the white looks better!)
And added some extra to the back....
Sit back and Relax.
