Fake backsplash.

My husband works out of town for two weeks. I need projects to keep me sane. One day, while redoing my kitchen, I decided to paint faux rocks for my backsplash. Came from nowhere. just popped in there. And once I get an idea....it MUST be completed. I have painted a few bricks and rock back splashes before (I used to paint alot of walls...this vinyl is really putting me out of business!) So, my husband left.....and the next day I started.

The before (cause that's always fun)

Just starting....

Midway

( I know....kinda like a giraffe.  Well, animal prints are very in.)

The Finale (sort of...I ran out of paint...the wall behind the microwave isn't finished!)

I have major plans to paint the cabinets...just have to get the approval of the landlord.

Past backsplashes...just to prove they don't all turn out animal prints.
(photograph of a photograph...so not the best!)

  5. Love the black "grout" on those. Very interesting and unique. Now, where can I try this for myself?

  6. ok, so I'm looking for that post that you had on here about spray painting plastic eggs, and putting them in a vase, then glue guning doillies together to make a ball. Know what I'm talking about?

  7. That's pretty cool. So talented. If I tried that it would probably look more like a rock pile!
